Now Offering: Parenting Facilitation Services
For those interested in parenting facilitation or parenting coordination, let it be known that last fall, Children in the Middle (Aaron Robb and Bradley Craig) put me through their boot camp and certified me as qualified to offer these services.
For the unfamiliar, parenting facilitation and coordination is a relatively new concept in Texas family law.
The idea is to give people struggling with co-parenting issues, whether divorced spouses with minor children or unmarried parents, a relatively inexpensive method to resolve disputes.
Instead of paying two litigators to square off at the courthouse, the parents pay one person to help them resolve disputes.
As a mediator of family law disputes since 1991, and author of “Mastering Negotiation” (and so on and so forth), I feel uniquely qualified to help squabbling parents make peace.
These are challenging times, causing extra stress for all of us, but especially for children of fractured families. There is a middle ground between expensive rounds of litigation and protracted conflict where the children are the ropes in one tug-of-war after another.
Practicing social distancing for the indefinite future, but services available by phone, Facetime, Skype, or Zoom.
